The Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle

This swan is part of a collection of birds created at The Bowes Museum, inspired by all the birds on display in the museum. The artwork was part of a collaboration, supported by Bright Woods Forest Schools. 

Did you know?!  As the largest of the waterfowl in the UK, swans eat about 4kg of food a day. That's a quarter of its own body weight!
