Highland Folk Museum

This is a pine marten! It was created by a group of pupils from Newtonmore Primary School as a character in a film they created all about pine martens.

Did you know? Pine Martens are part of the weasel family and used to be common across the UK but can now only be found in north and central Scotland. Pine Martens are very rare but fortunately, thanks to their protected status numbers are slowly on the rise.
