Creative Critters from Nature in Art
At Nature in Art, the World's first gallery dedicate to art work inspired by nature, families focused on bugs and insects found around the grounds of the gallery. Thinking about the incredible iridescent and colourful bodies of the bugs, attendees created the wonderful bug sculptures you see below. Can you express ways to express the shininess of bug's body with different materials?
At another workshop for Earth Day the focus was on talking about biodiversity around the gallery's grounds. For this, the topic was on hedgehogs and birds, exploring ways we can protect and improve that habitats to increase population numbers. Using natural materials found outside, families crafted hedgehogs and birds in their nests, getting familiar with the way these critters create their habitats.
